Photoblog: Immigration Reform Activists, Supporters Deliver Petitions to Congressmembers Over Recess

It’s Easter Recess for Congressmembers, who are back at home holding town halls, meeting with constituents–and being served petitions with tens of thousands of local signers all demanding immigration reform.

A coalition of immigrant-rights groups, in conjunction with local organizations, have collected more than 40,000 petitions from immigration reform supporters across the country, and are spending the Easter recess delivering them to different district offices.  Here’s a compilation of some of their actions, and other events demonstrating support for immigration legislation this break.

Here’s the Reform Immigration for Texas Alliance (RITA) delivering over 11,000 signatures from Texans who want immigration reform to Senator John Cornyn’s offices in Austin and Harlingen:
