This morning, the Washington Times ran a letter signed by the Evangelical Immigration Table which urges Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen to extend TPS for El Salvador to provide Congress time to provide needed reforms to the immigration program.
The letter goes on to explain the group’s concern is driven by a strong Christian faith and commitment to the Scriptures, specifically highlighting a commitment to protective and serve those who are vulnerable, specifically including immigrants and the poor.
In just 4 days, by January 8th, the Trump Administration will decide whether 200,000 Salvadorans who legally live, work, and pay taxes in the United States will lose their TPS immigration status.
