America’s Voice today announced the hiring of Pili Tobar as Managing Director.

According to Tobar, “As the immigrant community faces an onslaught of attacks from the Trump administration and the President’s Deportation Force, I am glad to have the opportunity to be back on the frontlines. I look forward to working with our colleagues in the broader immigrant justice and civil rights movement to protect our community and to create a political path forward to ensure long-term, legislative relief for the eleven million.”

Frank Sharry, Executive Director of America’s Voice, added, “We are honored to have Pili rejoin the team. She is already a member of the family, having worked for America’s Voice when she first came to Washington, DC. Her passion, knowledge and commitment will prove invaluable as we continue to confront Trump’s war on immigrants.”
