A new video released today by America’s Voice highlights how America relies on immigrants. The video, narrated by former Trump undocumented worker Sandra Diaz, notes how the President’s hypocritical history of employing and exploiting undocumented workers “reveals the truth”:
“America relies on immigrants like us.
We put food on your tables. We clean your offices. We build your homes. We take care of your family.
And during this pandemic, many immigrants are risking their lives as essential workers, doing very difficult jobs.
America was built by working people just like us. We came here to work, to create a better, safer future for our families.
We believe in America. We love America.
Our country is stronger when we stop with the attacks meant to divide us. And start working together to make all our families stronger, safer, and happier.”

According to Frank Sharry, Executive Director of America’s Voice,
“Millions of immigrants like Sandra Diaz have contributed so much to America. And yet America still has not created a line for millions of undocumented immigrants to get into. They work hard for their families, they give back to their communities, and many risk everything as essential workers. It’s time to recognize them for all they do.
By a four to one margin, Americans support establishing a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants and their families. It’s time for America to say thank you, extend an official welcome, and shed a tear as these new Americans raise their right hand to pledge allegiance to the nation they already call home.”
