The following is a statement from Executive Director Frank Sharry on the passing of Senator John McCain (R-AZ):
John McCain died nine years to the day after Ted Kennedy died. They forged a close friendship as they endeavored to create a modernized immigration system on a bipartisan basis. Their efforts may have fallen short but they themselves were nothing short of heroic. RIP.
