Ann Arbor Community Leaders Rally to Stop the Deportation of Fredy Mencia

On the eve of Father’s Day, over 150 community members in Ann Arbor rallied in support of Fredy Mencia who is facing deportation on June 26. If he is deported, he will be sent to Honduras despite the fact that the Department of State has an official travel warning to that country.

Fredy is a devoted husband and loving father of 3 US Citizen children who has lived in the United States for 15 years. He is well-respected by all who know him and has established strong ties to his community by serving as a local church leader for over a decade.

Fredy is exactly the kind of person that should not be deported under president Obama’s new deportation guidelines. He has been targeted by the overly aggressive Detroit ICE Field Office which has a long record of questionable conduct under the leadership of Director Rebecca Adducci.

Please take action now and sign the petition to stop Fredy’s Deportation!
