I met Marco almost four years ago. At the time, I was working at Sojourners Magazine and he was one of our interns. Nobody knew that he was undocumented.
For as long as I have known Marco, he has inspired everyone around him. The guy can quote Dr. King like no one I know. In fact, I was following his lead when I joined this movement as an ally.
Seeing Marco organize from inside that for-profit dentition center is one of the bravest, most courageous things I have seen. He truly is an inspiration to all of us.
My thoughts and prayers are with him, and I wish him a safe return.
