Biden-Harris Begin Undoing Damage Caused By Trump and Stephen Miller

Washington, DC – This week, families that were cruelly torn apart by the Trump administration’s disgraceful family separation policy are finally being reunited. Children and parents who haven’t seen each other in years have finally been able to embrace their loved ones and the reunions have been emotional and life-affirming.

While there is still so much more work to be done, both to reunite additional families from the thousands impacted by the Trump policy and to address the trauma these children and families have suffered, the recent family reunifications reflect the broader progress of the Biden-Harris administration in undoing Trump’s damage.

The President promised to lead us towards a safe, orderly, and humane immigration system that lives up to our nation’s values, and these scenes of joy, relief and sorrow are a powerful indication that the Biden-Harris team is taking their mission seriously to heal wounds left behind by Trump and Stephen Miller.
