Washington, DC — President Biden’s administration is making progress in cleaning up the mess left by the Trump administration’s neglect, mismanagement and cruelty. This week, the world is watching as families are reunited for the first time since they were separated under Trump’s disgraceful family separation policy. And now, we are seeing the number of unaccompanied minors held in U.S. Customs and Border Protection facilities plummet, with the number falling by 84 percent in just the month of April. The amount of time children spend in CBP custody has also decreased by 80 percent, and there are now fewer than 800 children in CBP facilities.
