This week’s episode was a special, elections-themed podcast that featured guest Julio Lainez, the state director of America’s Voice Virginia. Democrats, immigrants, and allies won big this week in Virginia, electing a slate of progressive new candidates who reflect the diversity of America while defeating Republicans who campaigned on ugly anti-immigrant politics. We also discussed the Dreamer day of action — Operation #DreamActNow — that took place across 14 states today and featured 8,000 Dreamers and advocates calling on Congress to take action on legislation.
