Since announcing his presidential campaign, Donald Trump has often used immigrants as a scapegoat for problems in American society with outrageous claims that immigrants don’t pay taxes and leech off the system. After revelations broke last night about Donald Trump’s own financial issues, many immigrants and allies took to the internet to express their outrage at his hypocrisy. Here are some of the best responses:
All my undocumented colleagues who worked for Trump paid taxes and social security and got no benefits. That is fine. What isn’t fine is that our boss, Donald Trump, only paid $750 a year in taxes and calls all immigrants dead beats here to abuse the system Mr. Trump.

I have the proof. It is the official document from Trumps company how much I paid. Many others too. The Washington Post and others know the truth. pic.twitter.com/zLq1hekgI0

I’m a Floridian who is undocumented.
Undocumented Floridians paid $1.1B in federal income tax in 2017, the year POTUS paid $750.
That is about $2100 per undocumented immigrant in the work force, or 3X on average what the so-called billionaire paid.

I am undocumented. I have DACA.
My undocumented Dad taught me, “no importa qué hagas, pero al Tío Sam se le paga siempre.”
I’m used to hypocritical stances from Trump supporters.
This is a reminder to those that can VOTE, YOU can actually do something about this.
I can’t. pic.twitter.com/5NlOgXSsPN

The biggest lie white supremacy ever sold you is that Black people and immigrants are stealing tax dollars while white "business" men are emptying the vaults hand over fist. https://t.co/K9ZF2k6hIM

Undocumented immigrants paid $11.7 billion in state and federal taxes in 2014. Trump paid only $750 the year he became president and only $750 the next year.
He needs to stop freeloading off Americans.

Trump is not the only “billionaire” paying $750 in federal income tax. The system is so broken.

While Trump was cheating on his taxes, he was using billions of our tax dollars to pay off his cronies to build the racist campaign stunt https://t.co/vZVaUT6zNR

Most of My #undocumented clients pay taxes every single year or have money taken out of their check they will never receive back in social security. Yet here #DonTheCon is paying an absolutely insulting $750.00 just to say f you to all of us. #DonTheCon #TrumpTaxReturns https://t.co/5q9usm1Fcm

Good Morning to people who pay more than $750 in taxes only

If the president and his family can write off hair and makeup, I see no reason why I can’t write off tortillas and red wine.

I can’t stop thinking about my immigrant parents, who were undocumented for over 20 years, paying more in taxes, in any one year, than Trump. 😡#VoteHimOut #AdiosTrump https://t.co/h22JRSGnrZ
