If Republicans are faced with yet another “autopsy report” after next year’s Presidential election, today will be one of the days they point back to in regret.
Donald Trump’s press conference in Dubuque, Iowa went off the rails fast on Tuesday night when Univision anchor Jorge Ramos started questioning the candidate even though he had not been specifically called on by him.
“Excuse me, sit down, you weren’t called. Sit down!” Trump shouted at Ramos as he protested, “I have the right to ask a question.”
“No you don’t, go back to Univision,” Trump replied, attempting to call on another reporter in the room. At that point, security physically removed Ramos from the room.
“Go back to Univision”? One has to wonder if Trump meant something else about the Mexico-born journalist (who became an American citizen in 2008).
A short clip of Trump’s thugs throwing Ramos out of the event has already earned over 330,000 views on Vine.

As Republican strategist Ana Navarro tweeted, Ramos’s programs reach millions of Spanish-speaking viewers — and voters — in the United States daily:
@jorgeramosnews, Univision anchor escorted out Trump’s event…As point of reference, his news show more watched than 3 networks COMBINED.

MSNBC’s Chris Hayes commented Ramos was “symbolically deported” from the room by Trump.
The National Association of Hispanic Journalists issued a searing condemnation of Trump:
“Mr. Ramos was doing what journalists have done for decades – asking questions!,” said Mekahlo Medina, NAHJ President. “Ramos was simply trying to hold a candidate for president accountable for statements he made about a very important topic to the American people. Mr. Trump has avoided Mr. Ramos’ attempts for an interview to reasonably discuss Mr. Trump’s opinions and ideas about immigration and American children born to undocumented immigrants.”
America’s Voice Executive Director Frank Sharry tweeted Ramos stood up to Trump’s bigoted bullying when others wouldn’t:
Thank you @jorgeramosnews! For standing up for immigrants, for standing up for independent journalism, in face of a bullying bigoted Trump.

Watching @jorgeramosnews go face to face with Trump tonight was a lot more inspiring than watching @JoeNBC kiss his ass this morning.

As we noted earlier, when you lose Jorge Ramos, you lose Latinos. Trump physically threw Ramos out of his event — and the Latino vote along him. Watch video of the full encounter below.
