Recently we introduced you to Eric Lara, the 14 year-old Ohio teen who launched a petition to try to save his father Jesus from deportation. Over 33,000 people have taken action to keep this family together, and if you haven’t already, you should too.
The Lara family has been fighting an uncaring bureaucracy, trying to keep their family together in Willard, Ohio. Jesus Lara is originally from Mexico, and was granted a work permit under the Obama Administration. But the Trump Administration abruptly changed all of its policies, and now Jesus is facing imminent deportation.
Six year-old Elsiy Lara is the queen of her household, as her Dad and three older brothers readily admit. She likes to wear purple princess dresses and play games on her dad’s iPhone. In this new video, six year-old Elsiy talks about her favorite things to do with her dad, Jesus.
When asked if she has a message for her dad, Elsiy sweetly responds: “I love him and I want him to stay here.” Watch Elsiy’s video:
