During a town hall hosted by Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA), a local constituent stood up and questioned Ernst’s unwavering support of Trump, asking: “Where is the line?” The constituent’s impassioned line of questioning made us ask the same. Trump effectively ended asylum at the southern border. He effectively ended the refugee program. He is attempting to end Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals and Temporary Protected Status. He is talking about shooting immigrants and erecting barriers to pierce their flesh. Years later, he is still separating families. And so, we ask Republicans in Congress: Where is the line?
