Ahead of the Upcoming Voting Registration Deadline, Immigrants and Other Florida Communities Gather to Watch Sunday’s Presidential Debate

With the state’s Oct. 11 voter registration deadline and #ThatMexicanThing still fresh on the public’s minds, Floridians  will gather across the state in Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, and Tampa on Sunday, October 9 beginning at 7:30 PM EST to hear what the Presidential candidates have to say about immigration, jobs and other issues.

DACA recipients, DREAMer Moms, African Americans,  immigrants and other members from a host of organizations, including Florida’s Voice; SEIU Florida; New Florida Majority; Florida Immigrant Coalition;  FLIC Votes; WeCount; iAmerica; Organize NOW!  and the Dream Defenders will be available in Ft. Lauderdale, Miami and Tampa to provide key insight into important issues and their motivation for coming out this election season.
