A new public opinion survey analyzed support for the Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors Act (DREAM Act), S. 729.
According to First Focus, 70% of Americans now favor the DREAM Act, which represents a significant increase in support since similar polling in 2004. At the time, public support was found to be 58%.
The random digit telephone survey was conducted by Opinion Research Corporation (ORC). ORC used a national probability sample of 1,008 adults comprising 506 men and 502 women 18 years of age and older. Interviewing for this survey was completed during the period of June 10-13, 2010. The poll’s margin of error is +/- 3%.
