A bill that would slam the door on Syrian refugees is headed to a vote on the House floor in less than an hour.
Unfortunately, some Congressional Democrats are ready to join this Republican led effort – effectively banning Syrian families fleeing violence from seeking refuge in the United States.
By abandoning refugees, House Democrats would effectively cave to very same Republicans who regularly attack undocumented immigrants across the country.
This is NOT the American way!
Now more than ever, the immigrant community must stand together with Syrian refugees. We cannot let politicians capitalize on a tragedy to push their xenophobic agenda!
