Trump Campaign Throws Fit Over Latinos Early Voting In Nevada

A day after Latinos and immigrants lined up for hours on the last night of early voting in Nevada, the state’s GOP chairman and Donald Trump supporter claimed that “in Clark County, they kept a poll open till 10 o’clock at night so a certain group could vote.”

“A certain group”…veiled racism much?

Both Trump and his campaign manager Kellyanne Conway decided to double and triple-down on the claim that Latino and immigrant voters were somehow cheating.

“It’s being reported that certain key Democratic polling locations in Clark County were kept open for hours and hours beyond closing time to bus and bring Democratic voters in,” Trump read off his teleprompter during Saturday night’s rally. “Folks, it’s a rigged system.”

The day after that, Conway told CNN’s Jake Tapper that “it’s concerning when you hear reports about special favors and perhaps special rules for Democratic voters.”

Of course, as Conway is smart enough to know, there were no special favors or special rules.

“The polling place was observed by officials from the Clark County Registrar of Voters office,” notes the Daily Beast, and the polling place accommodated voters who were already waiting in line as early voting closed, regardless of political affiliation.

The fact is Donald Trump and his campaign know that Latinos are voting by historic numbers in the state — and those votes aren’t going to him.

Trump could have had a chance to win over Latino voters, but he instead chose to launch his Presidential campaign by calling Mexicans “rapists,” proposing a wall that Mexico will pay for, and then throwing Jorge Ramos out of his press conference.

As the state’s political guru tweeted, these “inane, racist” statements from the campaign will only further galvanize Latinos on Election Day.
