Republican Senate candidate Jim Lamon produced an ad where he shoots at President Biden, Speaker Pelosi, and Senator Mark Kelly. It’s craven and violent as it is, but Kelly’s wife, Gabby Giffords, was seriously wounded by a gunman back in 2011 when she was a Congresswoman representing Arizona. Lamon’s ad also features Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb and Brandon Judd, who is the President of the Border Patrol Union.
This disgusting ad sparked outrage on Twitter shortly after dropping, as many reported the video for violence and asked that it be taken down.
I know Lamon is intentionally looking to court "liberal outrage" to gin up press around his campaign, but staging a whole ad to fire a gun at Sen. Kelly is just fucking gross. And what does it say about a man who would spend this kind of money to do this sort of thing … pic.twitter.com/LbsUp4Kxza

DISGUSTING: Former Rep. Gabby Giffords was shot and and seriously wounded 10 years ago. Her husband’s Republican US Senate opponent, @jim_lamon, just put out an ad in which he shoots Mark Kelly and other Democrat leaders. #AzSen pic.twitter.com/eoBIJH8ap0

Lamon campaign says this is right: Brandon Judd, president of the National Border Patrol Council, and "America's sheriff" Mark Lamb, are the deputies in this shot. Judd is a very popular GOP surrogate, appearing in ads for Greg Abbott, etc. https://t.co/84K98XxBG6

This Monday will be 4 years since my daughter was murdered. I take commercials like this seriously. The boy who murdered my daughter was motivated by videos like this. @jim_lamon know what happened to @GabbyGiffords. You owe Gabby & @CaptMarkKelly an apology. Remove this!!! https://t.co/wbFO0wU76O

Republicans don’t have any ideas to help you. And they can’t win elections. So they’ve gone all in on using violence as a path to power. RT if you’re choosing #VotesOverViolence this Fall. https://t.co/8G0Dc2e1Qf

When Republicans go low, they go even lower.

Just when you thought today’s GOP couldn’t go any lower, they do. Republican Arizona Senate candidate Jim Lamon airs ad showing him shooting a gun at actors portraying President Biden, Nancy Pelosi, and Arizona Senator Mark Kelly, whose wife was shot and severely injured. pic.twitter.com/QUP5EXcZar

WTF is wrong with you? You’re gonna threaten our commander in chief, Speaker of the House, and a senator who is a veteran and spouse of a congresswoman who was shot? https://t.co/sViEDTScTQ
