SEIU Launches Seven-Figure Ad Buy for Immigration Reform

Share This:

SEIU has announced that it is launching a seven-figure ad buy to further the push for immigration reform, which today is facing a cloture vote in the Senate.

The ads feature Republicans, law enforcement officials, veterans, small business owners, and DREAMers talking about why we need immigration reform.  The announcement comes a day after Karl Rove’s Crossroads GPS announced that it was spending $100,000 on print ads urging conservatives to support immigration reform.

As Mary Kay Henry, the International President of SEIU said in a statement:

We’re seeing a growing consensus across the country that we need to get immigration reform done and get it done now.  These ads show the breadth of support for commonsense immigration reform and highlight the diverse voices that are integral to moving this debate forward.

The ads will run on CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, USA and ESPN, as well as during the Sunday talk shows on NBC, CBS, Fox and ABC.
