This week, Judge Hanen released his politicized and poorly-argued decision against DAPA — and in the days afterward, hundreds of advocates in 60 cities across 19 states have turned out to make it clear where they stand. Executive action, through DACA, has already allowed hundreds of thousands of DREAMers to legally work and drive, and the community last year won a major victory in getting President Obama to extend those protections to immigrant parents. This week, advocates are making it clear that they are #Ready4DACA #Ready4DAPA, ready to protect that victory, and will persevere through future court rulings where the law and common sense will surely prevail.
