PRESS CALL: Litigators Explain Order Issued in New York Case Challenging Denial of Entry to Refugees and Muslims

On Saturday, January 28, a group of lawyers filed an emergency lawsuit on behalf of two Iraqi refugees with valid entry permits who were detained at JFK airport following President Trump’s new refugee and Muslim ban.  Saturday night, US District Judge Ann Donnelly of the Eastern District of New York issued a temporary restraining order against the US government in the case.

On Sunday, January 29 at 11am ET/8am PT, members of the Darweesh v. Trump litigation team along with Make the Road New York will gather on a press call to describe the contents of the Judge’s order, and the outpouring of support from Americans who are showing up at airports and demanding that President Trump rescind his discriminatory policies.
