Major media networks relied on the Voter Poll, conducted by SSRS, for the 2025 version of exit polls. The below exit polls numbers are from CNN as of November 5, 2025 (available here), presented alphabetically for CA, NJ, NYC, and VA.

CALIFORNIA

CA Issue 1 exit polling – among all voters

  • Trump admin. immigration actions have:
    • 63% said “gone too far”
    • 12 said “not gone far enough”
    • 25% said “been about right”
  • On immigration enforcement, should governor:
    • 41% cooperate with Trump admin
    • 59% not cooperate with Trump admin

CA Issue 1 exit polling – among Latino voters 

  • Trump admin. immigration actions have:
    • 70% said “gone too far”
    • 9 said “not gone far enough”
    • 20% said “been about right”
  • On immigration enforcement, should governor:
    • 33% cooperate with Trump admin
    • 67% not cooperate with Trump admin

NEW JERSEY

NJ Governor exit polling – among all voters

  • Trump admin. immigration actions have:
    • 53% said “gone too far”
    • 14 said “not gone far enough”
    • 30% said “been about right”
  • On immigration enforcement, should next governor:
    • 47% cooperate with Trump admin
    • 49% not cooperate with Trump admin

NJ Governor exit polling – among Latino voters (68-31% for Sherrill)

  • Trump admin. immigration actions have:
    • 59% said “gone too far”
    • 7% said “not gone far enough”
    • 28% said “been about right”
  • On immigration enforcement, should next governor:
    • 32% cooperate with Trump admin
    • 61% not cooperate

NEW YORK CITY

NYC Mayor exit polling – among all voters
