On Day of Senate Judiciary Hearing on Obama’s New Immigration Policy, Join AV and UWD in a Google Hangout
Hangout to Feature Immigrants Whose Lives Will be Changed By the New Policy, As Well as Those for Whom the Fight Continues
At 5:30 on Wednesday, December 10th, America’s Voice and United We Dream will host a Google Hangout with people that will benefit from President Obama’s immigration action, as well as those for whom the fight continues, as part of their OurHome.us campaign. The hangout will follow the Senate Judiciary Committee’s hearing, “Keeping Families Together: The President’s Executive Action On Immigration And The Need To Pass Comprehensive Reform,” chaired by Senator Mazie Hirono (D-HI).
The AV/UWD event will last 30 minutes and feature stories from OurHome.us—a website highlighting stories of people and families impacted by the administration’s forthcoming program and those who still need an administrate and legislative solution. Frank Sharry will moderate and questions will be taken from Twitter using the hashtag #OurHome.
