Washington, DC — This week, America’s Voice relaunched its Substack under a new name and framework: Charting a New Narrative on Immigration, reflecting a renewed commitment to facts, credibility, and values-driven storytelling at a pivotal moment for immigrant communities and the country as a whole.
The rebrand comes at a time when immigrants and our own history are under vile attack. The heightened immigration rhetoric and the policies that go with it increasingly shape not only the lives of immigrants, but the broader rights and freedoms of every community across the country. While continuing to provide accurate reporting and analysis, Charting a New Narrative on Immigration expands its focus to better elevate overlooked stories, highlight real-world impacts, and challenge misinformation that fuels fear and division.
Gabe Ortiz, long-time immigration journalist and America’s Voice Editor along with Yuna Oh Research Associate will spearhead this effort. As they write in the relaunch blog post: “It’s simply not enough to just inform you of what the administration is carrying out across our neighborhoods. This is a moment that demands clarity, credibility, boldness, and hope.”
The rebranded Substack will spotlight not just the harms of mass deportation and the abuse of power but also how Americans and immigrant communities are standing up for dignity and shared values, and the need for a bold vision on immigration reforms. Under the new banner, readers can expect a broader mix of voices and formats, including guest contributors, new audio and visual content, and more opportunities for engagement. As always, the Substack will remain free and accessible, ensuring that trustworthy information and immigrant-centered storytelling are available to all.
