On Monday, January 11th, Trump’s acting DHS Secretary Chad Wolf officially stepped down. Although he was never officially confirmed by Congress, that didn’t stop Wolf from implementing cruel and unconscionably inhumane immigration policies that will plague our system for years to come.
As news broke of Wolf’s tenure officially coming to an end, immigrants and advocates took to the internet to express their ongoing anger with Wolf’s policies, relief in his departure, and hope for better immigration leaders in the future.
Here are some of our favorite responses:
Chad Wolf was cruel, immoral, and dangerous from the start. His inhumane policies separated families, caged children, and inflicted terror on immigrants, peaceful protesters, and our communities.
We must reverse his harmful policies and humanely reform our immigration system. https://t.co/C0JitoCepz

Chad Wolf helped create the immoral family separation policy, undermined our asylum system, oversaw and implemented inhumane policies like Remain in Mexico, violated the First Amendment, and tried to unlawfully rewrite the SCOTUS DACA decision.
No one will miss him. https://t.co/sF9MkoG65p

As you read this, don't forget: Chad Wolf prepared an early memo for Trump's then-DHS secretary, Kirstjen Nielsen, outlining border policy options, including systematically separating families arriving at the border. https://t.co/bNJTGZYZbM

How does Chad Wolf resign from a job he doesn't have? Is he the senior official acting in the capacity of the guy who is resigning?
