The Spanish-language press finds setbacks for comprehensive immigration reform on Capitol Hill, as Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) says it won’t happen until 2012 and Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) says it won’t happen until after climate change legislation. But across the country, the urgency of reform is driving a call to march this Saturday, May 1.

“Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), the primary Republican involved in negotiations over immigration reform, stated yesterday that the bill won’t be viable until 2012. It now seems possible that Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY) will present a framework for an immigration bill this Friday.”
