The column points out that fear continues to permeate the Hispanic community in Phoenix, Arizona, even after Judge Susan Bolton’s partial injunction against SB 1070. The fact of the matter, the column explains, is that Sheriff Arpaio continues to conduct 287(g) operations and engage in racial profiling. For many immigrants, the situation remains the same.
