netroots nationIt’s almost time for the sixth annual Netroots Nation convention, and America’s Voice is once again partnering with Democracy for America to offer scholarships for immigration bloggers and organizers like you.

Scheduled for June 16-19 in Minneapolis this year, Netroots Nation is the ultimate progressive organizing conference, bringing together bloggers, community organizers, online activists, strategists, union members, political candidates, and elected officials for four days of panel discussions, hands-on training sessions, and networking events with one goal in mind: to build a more cohesive, more powerful and more inclusive progressive movement.

America’s Voice is committed to supporting a vibrant and independent pro-migrant blogosphere and we believe it is critical for immigration bloggers to be well-represented at Netroots Nation, which is one reason you should apply now.

This competition is your chance to show off what you’re doing to move the progressive agenda forward. And it’s our chance to ensure that activists of every age, background and economic bracket, representing numerous points of view and all 50 states, are able to participate in our annual conference.

The America’s Voice/Netroots Nation “Immigration Blogger Scholar” Scholarship provides the recipient one full registration to Netroots Nation 2011, a travel stipend, and shared hotel accommodations.  Hurry!–first round ends March 28.  Full details here.

The America’s Voice and Netroots Nation scholarship selection committee will rely on several unique factors to select contest winners. Above all, we are interested in hearing your personal story and your personal connection to the issue, what drives your work, and why you would like to attend Netroots Nation.
