Are you planning a DACA Dinner in your community? If so, please use this form to tell us about it so we can help make it a success. Be sure to include information about the time, date, and location.
The next couple of months are going to be huge in the fight to protect young immigrants from deportation. On June 29, 2017, Texas’ Attorney General, Ken Paxton, along with other nine state attorneys general and the governor of Idaho, sent a letter to the Trump administration urging them to terminate the DACA program and all protections that shield Dreamers from deportation.
By sharing your story and a meal with elected officials and or community leaders you can show them why programs like DACA are good for your community and our country.
The goal of our DACA Dinners campaign is to highlight the stories of DACA beneficiaries. By inviting a politician to sit down for a discussion on the importance of DACA, you will help demonstrate that Dreamers are just like any other young American.
We hope that you excited as we are about this project. We are hopeful that this kind of dialogue leads to a wider discussion on why the DACA program should be preserved by the Trump administration.
If you’re planning to host your own Dreamer Dinner, please fill out this form and we’ll be in touch.
