Vote for This Year's "TURKEY OF THE YEAR"

Share This:

This Thanksgiving, there’s a lot to be thankful for – family, food, and the growing movement for citizenship that we are all a part of.

But while Thanksgiving means giving thanks, it also means turkey. That’s why we’re holding a contest to elect one lucky anti-immigrant extremist as our “Turkey of the Year!

We’ll announce the winner on the Monday after Thanksgiving and present him with a framed certificate along with a HUGE turkey trophy.

The nominees for this year’s “Turkey of the Year” are:

1) Kris Kobach: Author of Arizona’s SB 1070 and Alabama’s HB 56, and the creator of Romney’s anti-immigrant platform which cost Romney the election.  Clearly a political loser, but will he win turkey of the year?  You decide.

2) Rep. Steve King: The Iowa Congressman thinks you can spot an immigrant by the shoes he or she wears, and thought comparing immigrants to dogs was a compliment.  Dude, seriously?

3) Sheriff Joe Arpaio: Pink underwear, racial profiling, chain gangs, and corruption.  He laughably calls himself “America’s Toughest Sheriff.”  But does he have what it takes to be America’s turkey?

4) Rep. Bob Goodlatte: The next Chair of the Congressional Subcommittee on Immigration has earned an “A+” from leading anti-immigrant groups, which we clearly don’t like.  Maybe a turkey trophy will inspire him to do better next year?

So — who will this year’s “Turkey of the Year” be?  It’s YOUR choice, so click here and vote!

Until then, Happy Thanksgiving!
