After their hugely embarrassing failure to pass a border bill yesterday, it appears House Republicans are rallying for a show vote, in which they’ve put together an anti-DACA bill so extreme that Steve King, Louie Gohmert, and Michele Bachmann have already declared their support of it.
One thing House Republicans still refuse to consider, however, is HR 15, the House immigration bill, a piece of legislation that would actually resolve border issues as well as bring 11 million people out of the shadows. This morning, a conga line of House Democrats lined up on the floor to emphasize that exact point. One by one, each called for a vote on HR 15, and House Republicans denied each request.
