They're finally getting it

citizenshipWe’re winning — and people are starting to notice. This week, a New York Times story summarized our momentum: “Republican opposition to legalizing the status of millions of illegal immigrants is crumbling.”[1]

The examples keep coming. Last month, Jeb Bush was widely panned — even within his own party — for suggesting reform that stopped short of a path to citizenship. He quickly reversed himself. And on Tuesday, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY), the Tea Party-favorite and one of the most conservative Senators in Congress, came out in support of real reform.

Momentum for a pathway to citizesnhip for ALL immigrants is building, but we can’t stop now. There are still too many members of Congress trying to fight our movement.

Sign our petition to Congress: The American people want citizenship, and it’s time for Congress to deliver.

Congressional leaders in both the House and the Senate are negotiating the final details of reform. That’s why now is the most important time to make clear our most important demand: a straightforward path to citizenship for ALL people in our country.

When we demonstrate our power, we give our champions support to draw hard lines around our principles, and we remind our opponents that we are watching and will hold them to account.
