“Is the New 112th Congress Anti-Immigrant?”

News agency EFE reports on yesterday’s press conference at which conservative state legislators announced a new campaign to deny U.S citizenship to children of undocumented immigrants.

On its national newscast, Telemundo interviews former Florida Senator Mel Martínez on whether or not he believes that new Congress will be “anti-immigrant.” Martínez says that he doesn’t believe that this new Congress will create laws against Hispanics, because he believes that the Republican agenda is not an “anti-Hispanic agenda.” Instead, Martínez asserts that he believes that Republicans will come up with new ideas for ways to solve the immigration problem, and eventually come up with a bipartisan solution.
