Netroots Nation is right around the corner and this year’s conference will kick off in Pittsburgh, PA tomorrow!

We’re excited here at America’s Voice. Not only are we sending eight, talented, immigration bloggers to the conference with a new scholarship program, we’ve also got some talented members of our own team who will be presenting on a number of panels themselves —

Jackie Mahendra will be presenting at “Si se Puede 2.0,” Saturday, August 15th, 1:30 PM – 2:45 PM, where panelists will discuss:

“online and offline strategies to motivate diverse communities to take action on [immigration reform]. Learn how to leverage mobile and blog strategies, 3D games, video documentaries, creative online actions, and viral videos to create change.”

She’ll also be discussing how different members reach distinct constituencies while staying true to each member’s identity, Thursday, August 13th, 9:00 AM – 10:15 AM, at “Online Congressional Engagement Beyond Twitter.”

Paco Fabian will be sharing his perspective at “Root Of Right Wing Media’s Hatred Of President Obama,” Thursday, August 13th, 4:30 PM – 5:45 PM, discussing recent events such as the controversy over Obama’s birth certificate, health reform, and the greater need to “push back” against those in the media who are “mainstreaming the Right’s extremist messages on national news networks.”
