Mitt Romney Gives Speech to Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; Twitter Doesn't Buy It

Mitt Romney just finished delivering his speech to the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, stop #1 on a Hispanic outreach blitz this week that will also include an interview with Univision’s Jorge Ramos and Maria Elena Salinas on Wednesday.  Romney tried hard to play to the crowd, telling them that it was “good to be home” (the event was held in Los Angeles, California) and that “the Republican Party is the rightful home of Hispanic Americans.”  He even re-mentioned his Mexican-born father, George Romney.   Romney left the subject of immigration for the end, however, and said neither anything new nor anything of substance.  Twitter panned the speech and slammed Romney for not further explaining his positions on self-deportation, the DREAM Act, or laws like Arizona’s SB 1070.  Here’s some of our favorite tweets from the speech:
