Limbaugh Calls Pirates “Illegal Immigrants”

piratesJust when you thought the immigrant blame game couldn’t get more absurd, this, from Media Matters

Limbaugh: Somali pirates have “entitlement mentality. I could have sworn they were originally Americans”; speculates “maybe they were illegal immigrants.”

These people have an entitlement mentality. I could have sworn that they were originally Americans who maybe fled. Maybe they were illegal immigrants or something who got here, come here with an entitlement mentality, didn’t like it, fled the scene because Republicans drove them out of the country in the last election, so they went over to Somalia and started pirating things.

My favorite part of this whole scenario is where Limbaugh says that Republicans drove the “illegal immigrants” to Somalia in the last election. I don’t even know what that means. Somebody else have a clue?

What I do remember happening in the last election was, in 20 out of 22 swing races where Republican candidates played up the extreme, deportation-only rhetoric, they lost to pro-reform candidates.

Sounds like Rush needs to deal with his own entitlement issues before picking the speck out of his neighbor’s eye. That is, his feelings of entitlement to warp every major world news story into a “pin the tail on the immigrants” bash-fest.
