Immigration & the State of the Union? Apparently, There’s an App for That

Vivir Latino expressed low expectations for the treatment of immigration reform at tonight’s State of the Union address. America’s Voice founder Frank Sharry has made his suggestions here. Now, via Rachel Labruyere at Reform Immigration For America, there’s a new way to register your opinion during tonight’s State of the Union address — turns out there’s an app for that.

She begins:

SOTU_09

I personally would like to hear the President directly link the economy and jobs – undoubtedly the focus of Congress at the moment –  to the immigration issue. To be specific, comprehensive immigration reform would boost our economy. And the local enforcement measures that are cropping up in the absence of reform are wrecking state economies.

So what do you think the President should say? What are you hoping to hear? Leave your ideas in the comments section.

And, you can even sign up to give us your opinion in real time. RI4A has partnered with SurveySwipe and their text analytics research tool, DiscoverText, a mobile app that will enable us to poll your opinion in real-time as you are watching the State of the Union address.

Your opinions matter to us and we’d love to hear what you think as the speech unfolds. All you need is a web-enabled smart phone. To get started, download the app here.
