DREAMer Felipe Matos Questions White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer on Immigration

Friday was quite a day for immigration at Netroots Nation in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  At breakfast, Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) talked immigration with a small group of bloggers before speaking at America’s Voice’s panel, “Immigration and the Power of the Latino Vote: Why Harry Reid Came Back and Alex Sink Sunk.”  Between the two events was a Q&A session with White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer, who sat down to take questions from the audience. We heard his panel got pretty ugly.

When it ended, DREAMActivist and Freedom from Fear Award recipient Felipe Matos had a follow-up question about immigration and the DREAM Act:

I’m a DREAM Act student, so when you said that [President Obama] needed to enforce immigration law, that means that I will be one of the people getting deported.  Why is he going to Puerto Rico, Texas, traveling all over the country to court the Latino vote, and giving us absolutely nothing?
