DREAM Act Takes the Gingrich-Dean Debate By Storm

If Howard Dean is known for one thing—it would probably be his, well, excitement.

And at the Howard Dean, Newt Gingrich debate at George Washington University on Tuesday night, it was the DREAM Act that brought this infamous excitement to life.

For the last three years, Howard Dean and Newt Gingrich have been holding debates at colleges and universities across the country. But the debate Tuesday night at George Washington University was a little different.

With Gingrich all-but-announcing his candidacy for the Republican nomination, the debate was by widely covered in the political blogosphere and has emphasized the importance of immigration as a touchstone issue for 2012.
